    Hey Pat,

It was ingested via MC6 AMA. Thats how we uprezed the RED media also.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the reply.

Yes the individual tracks are part of the import. I’m just importing all the bwf files together, and I have tried selecting the option in the import settings for “auto detect mono bwf groups” but it doesn’t do anything. I agree with you on the mono not respecting original track, everything is on A1. I am going to try Wave Agent.

It shows 1 track, but I autosynced each group of same TC clips, and then autosequenced everything. Should’ve thought of it before posting on the forum.

  • It is definitely not a media composer issue. I went ahead and scrubbed through the timeline in REDCINE X with the linked material from the EDL. What I’m guessing is that any clips that I did not bring in the ALE on is what is causing this. As I view them in redline X, some of the reframed clips have the reframe window, and some do not. At the beginning of the project we had the iMac that all the AAFs/ALEs from REDCINE on the desktop, and that mac died unexpectedly. I’m guessing that some of the ALEs didn’t get brought back in. I’m going to test to make sure.

    Hi John,

Sorry if I am being unclear. After transcoding I close bins, unmount ama volume, and relink ama clips to 10:1 footage. The clip relinks to the media on the unity, but when it relinks it becomes yellow again. Trying to figure out why

    Thanks Michael,

I was looking for confirmation that you couldn’t group diff rates. I’ll have to bear the bad news that all the 23.98 that was shot isn’t going to group with the 29.97 footage.

Well, obviously make sure your not working in the wrong frame rate. I will assume you are…

I am currently working on a c300 show, and have had some relinking issues due to clip length. Do you have any clips that exceed 45 mins in length? Due to the long GOP, for some reason when a clip goes over around 45 minutes, Avid 5.5 no longer wants to see it as a single clips, and I had to find my own workaround for that. I can elaborate if so…but are any of your clips relinking? Try checking the “version separator” in the relink window and making the value 0.

Yeah thats what I ended up doing, its a pain because there willl randomly be 1-2 clips I miss an have to go back through.

I am working with multi cam material, sometimes in the middle of the day they suddenly switch to shooting NDF. Don’t know why, when I try to auto sequence some of the cameras that are like this, it does not allow auto sequencing with NDF and DF clips together. So, for making a sync map this turns into a huge pain.
