Re-Framed shots in RedCine X not coming through in Resolve
Hi All,
Working on a short shot in 5K on the Red Epic. Files were originally transcoded to DNX 36 for offline editing in Avid 5.5 During that process, we reframed a few shots in REDCINE X. Just doing a dry run in Resolve Lite to make sure everything is conforming as it should before delivery to colorist. None of these re-framed shots are coming back as such. They’re coming back as the original R3D file. Anyone encountered this? Or is this perhaps normal?
Any ideas will help.

It’s normal. If you want to retain reframed you need to do it in editorial. But it’s easy enough to do the reframed directly in resolve. Plus you get the benefit of resolve’s scaling.
