Yes as Jeremy mentioned above you can create a smart collection which just looks at your stills.

    Create a smart collection

Double click the name to bring up the smart collection filter box

Click on the plus icon at top right and choose media type.

In the filter line that appears, change “video and audio” to “stills”

    Cheers,

    Here’s an updated version.

    2537_bgautozoomerwithspin.zip

    Completley re-written for 64bit

Introducing a new paradigm in effects presets.

(p.s also a spin control has been added)

    😉

Couple of shortcut keys you may find helpful…

Hold down Option to remove from colour selection

Hold down shift to add to colour selection.

There is an option inside the colour board to choose a colour selection with an eyedropper.

For instance you could choose the item you wanted to keep with the eyedropper.

Hit the right pointing arrow to enter colour board.

Now at the bottom of the screen choose “outside mask”.

Now go to the Saturation tab at the top, and bring the left had global saturation slider all the way to the bottom.

Hopefully now you will see you chosen item in colour and everything else black and white.

    Hope that helps,

    Cheers,

    Brendan

I had a play with adding the spin behaviour as well, but it kinda did not work as I expected. Anything over 4 – 5 degrees rotation and it would spin all the way around.

I might have another look at it.

  • Sure, if you click on the colour pot where you adjust text attributes instead of clicking down arrow, you will get the OS colour picker box. The first section has a magnifying glass you can choose to select any colour from onscreen.

    Hope that helps.

Navigate in your finder to your home directory…

    then movies/Motion Templates/Titles/credits/bulletin board/

and you should find a folder called “push copy”. Delete that folder.

What you need to do with this effect (push), is add it above the clip you want to have appear in it.

    Perhaps that’s not too clear…here’s a screenshot.

    Hope that helps.

  • This way of using an empty text fx as a adjustment layer is even more powerful than it first looks.

Throw more “adjustment layers” into the 1st one and add as audition. So you could store different grades for your edit in there, resizes, letterbox versions……keeping the timeline tidy.

    Powerful!!

    cheers,

    Brendan
