I know I’m resurrecting an old thread here, but with my recorder, when I hit record, I can then and ONLY then adjust the record level. Mine defaulted to 1, got much better results around 40-50. Hope this might help someone else looking for answers.

I see. So what you’re saying is, I can’t batch process unlimited numbers of jobs? I figured there was a limit but that’s exceptionally low. Is it due to memory constraints? All computers involved are pretty high-end.

To be honest, this sounds to be pretty typical performance, depending on the amount of effects in the preview window. I’ve got a core i7 w/ 8GB of RAM, and I have the same thing happen to me.
To my knowledge, After Effects only stores the rendered frames in your RAM, the actual rendering is done by your CPU, and while an i3 is no slouch, I don’t believe it will give you instantaneous renders.

Seems simple enough…use the motion tracker feature on the layer that you want to track, and apply the track to a new null object. Then, parent the footage that you want to overlay to the null object, and line it up. The inserted footage will ‘stick’ to the original footage. This works best if motion is only in the x/y dimension, and not moving forwards or back.

do you have the track set to track scale/rotation, or just position?
