Guys, I’m sorry. I’m a complete idiot. I typed DVCPRO HD when I meant HDCAM. It’s been a stressful morning.

  • Hey Shane,

Yea… with Auto Duck, I tell it to use a pro res timeline at 23.98 as yes, it was cut at 23.98. Problem is, I can’t capture the material at 23.98… we have a trilevel sync here but I’m a bit green with this as I’m a motion designer… I’ve tried patching in Trilevel to capture material at 23.98, but I get green lines, locked picture, etc… so I guess sync off?

But I can’t even get it in at 29.97 either. Like I said, only way it captures without timecode breaks is if machine is local and I just capture now. Ugh.

Arnie, I’m using Kona LH: 1080i 29.97 Apple pro Res.

Control is Kona LH: Sony 29.97

Another weird thing is, after setting 1080i 29.97 in my easy setup, and trying to batch capture one offline clip, it acts as if it captures, opens a box that says continue, then opens the capture window again and goes through the whole process again… it does this 3 or 4 times then brings up a window that says”

Batch capture encountered timecode breaks in sequence items. To protect your edits, these clips were left offline and not divided into separate clips.”

    Thank you Arnie

The tape is definitely 60i, 24psf… I have a Kona LHe which should remove pulldown… I did try capturing 1080i, but I get a timecode break on every clip to where it pauses, rewinds, etc.

    Thanks Dave,

    What about Nattress?

    https://www.nattress.com/Products/standardsconversion/GConverter.htm

Will that allow me to take a 1080 30p image and convert to 1080 24p?

Oh boy… thanks, Michael. Sorry, I thought I had looked over earlier posts well but somehow completely missed this one… looks like this might be good info. Thanks, tons.

Nevermind… looks like it’s isolated to just one file… when I recreate a new version, everything works as planned. Hmm… weird.
