That’s assuming the project is not ALREADY DV.
If it is already a DV timeline, there’s no reason not to output via a DV device.
Use the S-Video (Y/C) connector for video (if the Beta Deck has one)
and send the audio from the DV device through a line-level mixer to boost the un-balanced signal and match it to the XLR inputs on the deck. -
Manually set the TC generator ON THE DECK to the starting TC you want (be sure and allow for Bars, Tone, Slate & Black, if you need it on the tape.)
Then record black and that timecode onto the tape for a duration sufficient to allow an OVERLAP of (just a few seconds past) the start of your timeline’s TC in FCP.
Then, assemble the Timeline onto the tape from FCP at the proper TC.

Well, if you rename any part of a captured clip, it will lose its confection to the corresponding clip on the Capture Scratch disk.
Its then a hassle to “Reconnect Media” to the proper clips,
so I don’t recommend you rename your clips.Otherwise, to change how the Browser “sorts” clips, just click on the Browser column heading names (Name, Media Start, Duration, etc.) and all the clips will be sorted according to that columns info.
If you click the same column heading again, it will toggle from earliest-to-latest, and back). -
The weak link is the YouTube RE-compression on their end,
All you need to do to check this is to send a 5 second high-rez test clip and look at what happens to it,YouTube does offer a much higher level of clip storage if you sign up and pay for the service,
That’s why some of the videos you see (mostly from networks and movie companies) look so much better. -
The first thing to always try is to Quit FCP, Restart the Mac, Open your FCP project and try again.

Sure.
You can choose to create them as “one object.”
Rebulid them in Photoshop (you can make the verical size very tall) and lay them out the way you want them to look.
Import the tall Photoshop image and “Roll” it with the Motion controls. -
