Is this possible?
I brought the clips in on the wrong setttings and the audio is 2 frames out of sync. Do I need to type in all the clip TCs again or can I batch capture using stored TCs. “Highlight the “bad” clips in the Browser, then control-click and choose “Make Offline, remove from disk.”
If there is a wrong setting in the Browser for these clips, change it at this point.
Then, highlight the clips again and choose “Batch Capture.”

Try trashing the FCP preferences.

While 5400 rpm drives CAN work for some video, the “preferred” speed is 7200 rpm.

I have never ever left a shoot regretting connecting the audio via a cable.
I HAVE left many shoots asking why the heck the RF was noisy only on the KEEPER takes.
RF is an iffy proposition under the most controlled and “clean” (free of other RF) conditions.
In an environment of other sources of RF (computers and medical gear) and lots of metal cabinets and stands…
OMG, don’t do it!
Why on earth would you need to?
Just use a longer cable for your audio-to-camera link… and enjoy life!

I’d guess you over-drove the mic pre-amps in the camera.
If that’s the case, sorry, but its too late now to do anything that will effectively correct for that.
But remember this the NEXT time…
If you wish to USE the audio that you record… you must wear good headphones throughout the shoot to monitor the quality of the audio at all times.
If there’s an audio quality problem, try to fix it before you continue.
Audio meters alone are nearly useless.It is just as important to the audio to monitor with headphones, as looking at the viewfinder is to the image quality.

DF and NDF are not frame rates and do not affect your footage in any way.
They are simply an frame numbering and locating system and either will work just fine.
Drop Frame is designed to match a running clock for real-world timing purposes.
But it does not drop FRAMES, it drops frame NUMBERS.You can use both DF and NDF footage on a timeline that is set for either.

Despite the other answers… mine remains, “no.”
Because:
A) the methods don’t work very well.
B) there are few “legal” reasons to remove vocals from commercial recordings.
