    Hi Theo.

It may in fact be possible if you save a Boris FX preset within Vegas (as oppose to Uprez preset within Uprez filter within Boris FX). I’ll research it a little further. But I want you to try it yourself and let me know.

    Christopher,

You are a true early adopter and I appreciate that. Of course we’ll free upgrade you to the official release. Please contact our sales folks who sold you the product in the first place.

Sorry, I do not recognize the product you mentioned. The new release is a brand new version 6 update to BCC 5 FxPlug product (you may be confusing it with BCC 6 AE product line).

Hmm, I just checked nVidia driver web page for notebooks and it is in fact the latest notebook driver. The workstation drivers are in 182 range which is what we are testing with. We’ll try a win laptop with that driver version next.

I’m sure that at some point nVidia will catch up with laptop support in their latest generation drivers but I do not know when this is going to happen.

Perhaps my mistake, I assumed that your notebook is an Apple (Core 2 Duo) but now on the second reading I’m not so sure anymore. Anyway to help you further we need your laptop model and nVidia driver number (can be obtained with a right click on the desktop and going into nVidia display panel)

The 7400 card should be OK. Which laptop model do you have? We’ll try to match it here for internal testing. I can tell you that we have not formally tested a mac laptop under windows with this release but I know at least one product manager at Boris FX who is regularly using a windows boot for AE work. Theoretically it should be possible.

None of the formatting should be lost if it is done in Text window (such as justification). However if you are using (animatable) controls in the Control window such animation is not preserved after text is changed since the program has to re-calculate all credit roll animation. However, I just tried Justification in the Control window and it is preserved as well (since it is not animatable). I’m not sure what the problem is. Please send me your setting file so I can help you further.

XDCAM or any other format should be fine. In fact, being a plugin, Boris FX would not know where the clip originated.

From what you describe it sounds like you are creating only one page.

The best way to reproduce your problem would be to look at you setting file. Can you send it directly to me? Also include the text file that you copy from. Save setting directly in Graffiti, no need to include Final Cut project.

OK, a couple of other very simple suggestions: Try BCC Jitter Basic or BCC Jitter for same effect as in text jitter.

It’s true that type on currently is only available for text media (at media level) but Title container contains Shuffle and Zoom option which can be used to automatically animate any object in sequential manner.

    Cheers,
