Our guess is that you are not on the first frame of the clip. Move your timeline cursor to the very first frame (frame 0) and try that. We are thinking of refining our message to make it more clear.

the prml file is a resource file installed in the Library folder under BorisFX. If for some reason this file is missing RED will complain. Reinstalling RED typically solves the problem. You should not see this error message again. Glad you found RED easy to use.

    Philip,

Now I found the original thread from May. Matt Mullen was helping you on this forum. Since then Matt moved on to work for another company. That explains why he stopped responding on the original thread. Had you opened an official support case via phone or email, your case would have been picked up by another support team member. Anyway, We’ll try to work it out with you now.

The latest version of Chromakey Unit is 7.03.4, please download and try that. For the record: nowhere in his thread did Matt say that we no longer support customers with version 6. Perhaps it’s a misunderstanding.

September 29, 2010 at 6:51 pm in reply to: BCC Chhromakey unit v6 woes…

I’m sorry to hear about the problems with Open GL rendering on your mac.

First, all unit updates are free. We never charge for individual unit updates. Feel free to get the latest chromakey unit installer from our web page

    https://www.borisfx.com\downloads

Your original registration code is valid. Second, we will review your case one more time with the exact configuration that you have. So far we were unable to reproduce your problem but we will try again.

Another suggestion: Chromakey unit includes a software version of our Chromakey filter. You can always fall back on that.

September 28, 2010 at 4:43 pm in reply to: BCC7 and PPRO CS5 5.02 compatibility

it’s definitely unexpected. In fact, if you see BCC7 plugins in Premiere CS5 interface, you have correct 64 bit libraries installed. The 32 bit plugins will not be recognized by Premiere. Now the question is why you are seeing yellow??? I’m stumped and the best I can say is – contact our support team. I’m sure they can figure this out. 888-77-BORIS

  • I can confirm that RED 5 will have an improved integration with Vegas 10. We hope to have some long-standing limitations such as preview with alternative frames of host video and ability to read the effect duration from the host will be resolved thanks to the new, improved effects architecture in Vegas 10. Stay tuned for announcements.
