Call me dense but I didnt get that. I have tried off and on for a bit. Compile to what? There is no project just a .cs file.
So there is a piece I am missing here or just not sure how to work.
I can set the debug options to start the Vegas.exe -script thats not an issue. Just not sure about the compile thing..
BUT.. I am learning and a newbie. Sorry for all the questions.

I should have added that I executed the script via the menu
and the debugger did not hit the break point. I was trying to debug
the XML Export script for practice thats included in Vegas 7.

    Thanks,

I am in VS 2005 but the debugger did not stop.
    I opened a .cs file.
Then I attached the debugger to Vegas process.
Then I set break points and nada. The debugger didnt
stop. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks for all the tons of help Ed,

    Cool,
I picked up on this early in the AM.
My issue is I dont know how to debug a
script. I opened one of the scripts that
    Vegas had. (XML export)
I attached the debugger to Vegas but could
not get it to stop when I used the script.

    Thanks,

Thanks a bunch for the leads.
I am even looking at Vegas scripting

Seems like most of what I need is in there but
how do you apply a script?

Can it be applied to the overlap of 2 clips?

Not sure I know how to even use scripting yet but I am willing to
look at it as a real option.

I dont know the Vegas crowd that well. I have been writting NewTek
plugins for quite a while. After talking to a couple of users I
thought I would finally writting Vegas plugins a shot.

The only person I know that might know something is Tim Duncan,
but I dont have his number in my rolodex. I spoke to him about
a year ago about this idea.

I would have asked around while I was at NAB but this thought of
writting for Vegas didnt really sink in till after 🙁

If you have needs or ideas for plugins I am a small developer
that has written some pretty cool plugins for NewTek. I am
looking to port a couple of plugins to Vegas and maybe write some more.

So feel free to email me Vegas plugin ideas or info on how
to get on a developer information.
You can just hit the contact us button on the
http://www.bobfx.com website to drop me an email.

    Thanks for any info,

Well I have to buy the product before I ask on their forums.
    What a catch 😉

I was trying to see if this plugin would fit in.

I dont know any of the developers here as I am a total
Vegas Newbie. If I had this idea back in April I would have talked
to Sony while I was at NAB this year. 🙁

I was hoping for a list or something like Adobe keeps which
    allows developers to ask questions.

The only person that I know is Tim Duncan who I met while he was using
NewTek stuff and some of my plugs but I cant find his number anywhere. DOH! Should keep a Rolodex 🙂

If anyone else thinks they can help let me know.

    Hi,

I am talking about effects and trasitions. 🙂

I have already built a transition effect the
older C++ SDK and have something working in the
    Vegas 7 demo.

I just need a bit more information and there
seems to be no one or no where to ask.
I am currently working with the demo version
(clock ticking on the 30 days) doing
feasability. If I can do this first
plugin I will just buy Vegas and keep on going.
I have 2 ideas off the top of my head.
