I think the easiest thing to do is to reduce the brightness on the second video. As it becomes darker, the differences in color will fade away. The Color Corrector is a good choice for this darkening since it has both a gain control and a saturation control. The Color Corrector can, of course, also help brighten the output of the first camera, but I think you will quickly encounter noise issues if you increase the gain too much.
I think Aaron’s suggestion is the easiest way to fix the focus problem. Simply cut to the other camera to avoid the issue. The stabilizer could possibly help with this, but there is not much margin along the bottom edge of the video to allow the stabilizer to work. It is always risky to get your subject too close to the edge of the screen.

What happens if you manually change the extension to wav? Although it appears that something has altered Windows mapping of file types. I think you said that it is generating a wav file. Therefore, all you need to do is manually override the extension.
I still have a voice recognition package that, as part of its installation, took it upon itself to alter Windows’ mapping of file types and their default application software. It seized something like .tif files as its own even though it is not a photo application. That package still resides on an old xp system because I refuse to allow it to alter those relationships again on newer systems. I would try Google to look for a way to fix the file relationship information.

I like the comment about “your own inadequacies of working in windows”. I have worked with Windows since 2.1 and dipped my finger into IBM’s OS2 and its 3270pc before that (note: the 3270pc did not run OS2, it ran an earlier piece of IBM software that supported windowed operation). If we weren’t talking Windows, I could talk about MSDOS 1.0, and the stuff that preceded it. That long experience has taught me a very basic fact of life. You can occasionally update the OS to a new version (like Win 98 Second Edition), but be aware that such efforts are always a risk. They can reduce a smoothly operating machine to a trouble prone mess. You are far better off to buy a new machine that, hopefully, has all the hardware needed to run the new version, and all the hardware/software incompatibilities fixed. Even that should wait until the early adopters identify most of the bugs and they have been fixed. That strategy has enabled me to avoid disasters like Vista and Win 8 in its various flavors.
Does SVP run? SVP is only one of many applications that I depend on, and I remember someone saying that SVP has absolutely no problems running under Win 10. Perhaps that assessment was a bit premature.

It’s still a valid observation that the odds of replacing Win 7 Pro with Win 10 anytime soon are about as good as the chances for that proverbial icing up of hell.

I don’t have these plug-ins, but I can visualize how some of this behavior might be logical based on how the plug-in operates. For example, a stabilizer may be dynamically adjusting the degree of cropping applied to video to achieve a stable image. I can see how that might cause the size of a letterbox to be adjusted in the same dynamic way which would explain what you are seeing.

I am running SVP 12, so I am not sure what SVP 13 does. However, when I choose a render format such as WAV, Vegas fills in the extension to be used for the rendered file. So, if my file name is Project A, as soon as I click on a wav option, SVP will fill in the .wav extension as part of the file name. Is this what you are seeing when you render?

You have to keep in mind that Donald is working with SVP 8. Although I started with SVP 5 or 6, I have no idea what SVP 8 supported. Apparently, a conversion is needed to get the files into SVP 8 because the files as downloaded do not work. He could try Danny’s suggested format to see if it works in SVP 8.
