I’m afraid to try the 1.20 firmware upgrade after hearing about so many “bricked” camcorders. I’m using 1.11.

This just happened to me for the first time. We reformatted the cards and the EX1 went back about 60 clips and started from there. Bummer. Will have to rename them by hand I guess.

I mentioned this before and I don’t know if this will help you, but it worked for me one time. With the adapter in the camera I pushed the card and released it from the adapter and then reseated it. I could then restore the media. Good luck

Ok. Do you have your Vegas editing settings on DVD widescreen or the native HD settings?

I asked Sony Pro Parts about this. Here is the response:
“The supplied USB cable part number is 182854412”
I have no way of knowing if that is correct. They may think I’m talking about the standard usb transfer cable, although I said component video cable mini usb to RCA.Look at this:

Right. I was just wondering if there was a way to get the unwrapped clip back to the camera. I guess not.

I don’t have an answer for you, but I’m seeing aliasing on fine lines especially in high contrast areas with an EX1. Maybe lowering detail will improve things.
