Ty, Thank you for the link to the Owners manual. Actually I already have that, and have read it thoroughly, and yes it does explain what the switches and controls are on the FP24, but particularly in the case of the Limiter adjustment, it does not explain how to use or adjust it in practice?

If you could shed some light on that it would be great?

    Thanks for your time.

Did you check ALL the settings in the Inspector window for each Chapter? In particular “Playback Options” the default is WAIT = None.

Yes, I meant MacBook Pro, thanks for the correction!

So does the Sony Transfer Software do the Conversion to Quicktime while moving the files off the flash cards at 9X? Or, do you have to move them first, then do the conversion? I’m just curious as to how much extra time the QT conversion adds to the process?

When exporting a single Interlaced field you can clean it up by applying a De-Interlace filter in Photoshop.

I’m using FC Studio 2. Framerates are 60i for 1080i, 30P for 720P, and 29.97 for the SD footage. No 24fps footage.

I have used Graeme’s Standards Conversion filter for several years now, and have had great results. We even did a comparison with D-Beta footage that we sent out to be converted on a high end hardware system and the Nattress footage had the better quality, hands down!

Again, no afiliation, just a satisfied user!
