An m2t file saved from Premiere Pro can be Imported into would you believe Premiere Elements 4 and it will export as a Cineform avi file and in High definition if used.Especially valuable if used to Export to Tape if videocamera is nor recognised in Premiere Pro.

Quicktime mov. files come from a Canon EOS 5D mark II as two files, make sure you isolate the mov. file from the windows idetifier, it may say “not supported format” Open in My Pictures. Highlight all files to Tmport , they should open in Project window, but, this may not be your problem?
    Good luck !

If it is Cineform AVI High definition in Premiere Pro you should have no problem to tape. Check the Project settings are correct, it would take 4 hours to render or transcode mov. files in a 30 min production, but, not avi to tape ?

Good luck, render if you must >>>>>>>>>>>

  • Check with Adobe, but, I have been told the monitors are degraded to assist in the operation of the processing. My final product is always better than anything seen on the monitors. Well we use a Dell Ultra Sharp 24″ Monitor for high definition work , and oh boy, it is good, but, there is a slight difference.

    Hope that helps?

Yes, H264 is not happy in Premiere Pro, try rendering all the clips on the timeline, it takes a while, but, it works and editing is a breeze ,well smooth from a Canon EOS 5D mark II mov. clips in high def 1920 x 1080p and we need to change the Speed/Duration to suit PAL land at 25fps, cannot wait for the Firmware Update this month from Canon ? And we use only a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz Multi Processor in a Dell Series 8400 PC .

Do the obvious, defragment often, check the Drives for faults, close down any Security Program, do not save timeline with in Premiere Pro at any time automatically, click it off.

There appears no degrading in the 25p (Pal) mode (*except in Cinematic Mode it may be slightly softer, more film like) and we have done a lot of editing in the last 2 years as well as combining footage from a Canon EOS 5 D Mark II mov. clips through this unit HV 20 which is technically the same spec as the HV30.We use Premiere Pro (Windows XP)
