Let me offer this. There is a special filter which is made in the form of glasses for people who work in the glass making biz. I can not remember the name of the thing, sorry, but what it does is extreamly odd. This purple colored filter actual eliminates the flame so all you see is the subject (glass) being formed.

I dont know if this filter would work for welding but its worth a try. The only company I found that made if for a camera lens was Hoya.

In NYC Best Buy has been selling the Mac line for some time. There is not a store within a store things but if you want a Mac its there at the usual price.

I read this week or last that Apple will be doing a store within a store thing in Paris at the FNAC stores, which is even more expansive then Best Buy, though the price of the dollar vs Euro will screw your head up.

After going to the Louvre in Paris then the Apple store across from the Plaza hotel in NYC I had to laugh because Apple has modeled the entrance of that store after the glass pyramid of the Louvre, but the think different geometric shape is a box not a pyramid!

    Thanks.

I guess I should mention that after over seven years with Avid I started using V1 of FCP and now, seven years latter I would rather use FCP for cutting and Avid for EFX.

So, I really don’t care what Avid does, when I cut on it, which I do 2 to one more than FCP I simply expect the same old thing. I don’t look for a feature boost or anything new, just the same old reliable Avid.

I see your point about crashing, there was a day, early on with MC that it was a crash King. I guess you know all about that.

    Thanks

“Adrenaline is my issue. It’s a phat lie to this day.
bastardized Media Composer. I assume it’s their attempt to force us to DS. I don’t like the big downgrade. Most of us who had real media composers or symphonies miss having an Avid.”

I guess I should do a search in this forum for Adrenaline issues but I dont think I will find anything.

What are the issues with Adrenaline? The only big issues I have noticed with some of the new stuff is that the function that selects where you put media and render it is screwed up.

Other then that , I am not kidding I dont know…

    Thanks

I guess I don’t come here enough, but, what are the issues you have with Avid?

I could give you mine but I would guess they might be a little out of tune.

    Give me the short list…

    Thanks

Wow thats freaky, the word bare was an odd word but there it is, it’s bare. I have never seen anything like that before.

I found a one piece adapter with no wires thing. If your thing works I guess the adapter thing I found might too.

    Thanks

I have a sence you are talking about putting a SATA drive into an enclousure, I am asking about a stand alone adapter that you plug a cable into one end and the other end plugs into the computer.

    Thanks
