    Cool thanks Juan!

According to Netkas, 10.8.4 beta has Titan drivers. So thats nice.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get those results? From what I’ve read they were designed for different purposes and the Titan should theoretically be faster in resolve. (But slower in 3d stuff.) It’s design should theoretically be more geared to cuda stuff. Also it’s a single chip vs the 690 dual chip, which resolve may like better. (Or may work better in a cubix.) So I was surprised by your results.
    You actually tried both cards?

Flashing referred to putting Mac boot firmware on the card so it would load. But like you said, no drivers yet 🙁

Since Scratch has Mocha pro integration, (and scratch is also in the same ofx boat), wondering if its code owned by scratch or mocha. If it belongs to mocha, there’s a good chance they’d roll it over into resolve. And that would be friggin fantastic.

Are you sure it works like this? I know OFX is an API designed for cross compatability (i.e. mac/pc/OSversion/32/64/etc.), but not sure if I can just plug in a bunch of Nuke ofx and they’d work. I think they still need to be written for the platform. Can anyone correct or clarify this?

  • That being said, its actually not that crazy of a thought. 5 years from now, I could see BM becoming the dominant market player, with enough cash on hand to pull a power play. The discreet line continues to see diminishing returns for the Autodesk, who run enough product lines that they might be willing to shed them for cash to buy the Foundry line. Adobe would have already bought C4D by then, and BM would buy smoke/flame.

Wild conjecturing, but fun to speculate nonetheless.

    Hey Robert,

Could you clarify what you mean by this? Do you have examples of the issues you’re seeing?

Vlad, I assumed that was what they were referring to with:

    – Render Cache metadata is now saved with the project

I could be wrong, but guessing they’ve fixed this.

  • You understand that they took something that used to cost half a million dollars, made it a thousand times better, and now give it to you almost for free, so that you’ll buy their hardware instead of AJA’s.
