I wonder if Resolve will become a genuine NLE option at some point….I know of many filmmakers who are still dissatisfied with the alternatives to FCP7….

There were some rumors that the panel would lower in price, or there would be a new mid range model. Anyone see anything like this at NAB?

Question – now that you’re giving us even more ways to kill real-time playback (OFX and optical flow), will there be changes to the way the render cache works?

[Peter Chamberlain] “• 3rd party panel improvements”

While this one bit is certainly not what I find most exciting about the update, it is important to me at the moment. Can you elaborate any on this and how it relates to a Tangent Element in particular?

Also, WOW. You really don’t charge enough for Resolve. Fantastic list of improvements!

    Thanks

Second that Vladimir. If Resolve is supposed to work properly as a finishing tool the render cache need to be rebuild to give a reliable playback. Or else you need to transcode the colored sequence to a proper and fast format, and re-import before “going to online”. If your computer is not topped with numerous GPUs and rockets. I guess they have a plan. Stig.
