The Windows Update 20H2 has for sure created problems for Vegas Pro 17 and 18. For me, I know it makes MTS video files unusable. If you have any MTS files in your project, you won’t be able to open it until Magix has an update to fix it. I do not know if the new build 455 addresses this or not. I rolled back my Windows Update, and then can work as before, for now. The Magix forum may be more current concerning this.

From what I hear, Vegas cannot do batch capture from tape. I need this feature for a multi-user, multi-station workflow. Without it, Vegas can only do some smaller secondary editing for our work.
One work around perhaps, does any company offer a batch capture method of capturing video separate from a whole editing package that could be used with Vegas??
I have lots of tapes, long term storage. Not only do I need the batch capture feature, I also have to be able to import the timeline to go with it. The timeline would have to match the batch capture (edl clips would have to automatically recognize the appropriate footage that has been captured, so that everything would also be placed on the timeline for refinement, and final projection.
