Is your 60″ TV calibrated? Is the computer monitor calibrated? For any image to look the same on multiple monitors, they must have brightness, contrast, chroma level, chroma phase and color temperature set correctly at the very least. A full calibration using a hardware color meter will give the best results.
You can calibrate the 60″ TV using a monitor calibration DVD or Blue-ray disc. Similar capability is included on most Disney movie discs.
Calibrate the computer monitor by displaying a SMPTE color bar pattern, which would be included with video editing software; or you can download one from the Internet.

When you re-encoded at a higher bitrate, did you give the MPEG file a different filename? All DVD authoring software maintains a database of asset filenames used in the current project. If you reuse the old filename on a newer version of an asset already in the project, the authoring software will not recognize the new version.

Your lowest layer (either Background or Layer 0) should be empty, so that you see only the gray and white checkerboard. Your 3D graphics then go into one or more of the higher layers as needed. When finished, you should see your 3D graphics with the checkerboard showing wherever the final background will show in the final composite. Save As a .png
file and all will be good.If you use any layer effects or partially transparent elements, these will key correctly in the final composite.

Region 8 is only for the DVD players installed on passenger aircraft. Depending on what part of the world you are in, you want regions 1-6. You can make a DVD with all regions enabled unless your customer requires that the disc is restricted to one region.

I don’t know where the concept of Scenarist accepting a 6-channel PCM file originated, but Scenarist SD accepts 2-channels of PCM up to 96KHz and 24-bit. This is directly from Scenarist help file.
Also the SD-2000 encoder will only encode up to 2-channels of PCM, even if you have the 8-channel hardware interface box.

Don’t even think of using inkjet paper in a laser printer. The coating on the paper may melt in the high-temperature fuser rollers. The package should tell you whether the paper is suitable for laser or inkjet.
You need to test various laser papers until you find one you like. We use HP Premium Presentation paper, which has a nice glossy surface. This paper would be suitable for photographic quality printing.

Are you thinking of something like the 20th Century Fox logo? You can do that in any graphics app that can handle 3D. Make some text and then extrude it to a large depth.
I’m not much of an Illustrator user, but I think Illustrator also can extrude text objects in this manner.

For best results, use an encoder such as AME or Apple Compressor to encode a Blu-ray compliant H.264. Don’t max-out the bitrate — 25 to 30Mb/s is enough, depending on your bit-budget. Encode Dolby stereo or surround using the same encoders. Don’t let Encore do a default transcode. Right click on the picture and sound streams inside the project and select “Do Not Transcode”.

Your media went away when you switched hard drives. A file used as an AMA link must be in a drive that is on-line. AMA does not move the file to the location used by your Avid media.
I always copy a file to my RAID before linking via AMA (or transcode it to Avid media).

Some software DVD players try to play title set 1 directly in an effort to play only the main program, skipping all the other stuff on the DVD. The idea works only if the main content is actually located in TS1.
Software DVD players are notoriously poor at executing the DVD Spec correctly.
