I added the text file and when FCP is launching I get the prompt “One or more unsupported enabler files are installed…” Is this normal, and how do I know if the patch is working?

    Thanks

Thanks Tom! I don’t see the patch on AJA’s site, where can I find it?

    Hi Richard,

Could you be more specific about the dissapointment upgrading to the quad. I’m thinking of moving up from my dual 2.0 G5 and would appreciate your thoughts.

    Thanks,

From the ProRes 422 White Paper – thanks to Avid2FCP.com and Martin Baker.

Apple ProRes 422 is also ideal for capturing and preserving not only 8-bit, but also
10-bit SD sources. It captures either bit depth at data rates similar to DVCPRO-50
and IMX-50, which support 8-bit depth only.

I noticed on the FCP 6 promo clip that there is a setting for ProRes422 NTSC. I assume that’s an SD setting: Is this done in hardware too, and what is the data rate?

    Very cool device!

    Thanks

I was having the same trouble with my Kona 2 and DigBeta/HDCAM decks. I switched to using my IO’s RS422 control, and for the moment (since last night), I haven’t seen the error again.

I’ve delivered many shows to major cable and satelite providers (some picky as heck) and use the broadcast safe filter set to “normal” as my final step and have never had a show rejected for levels.

When are Transitions going to work…

What about when Final Cut 6 arrives, will this cripple RED again for months…

I didn’t run the script as I had already duplicated then renamed the plugins. And, yes it solved the problem.
