My EX-3 tells me that you can get 1 hr. 48 mins….on a 32GB Sandisk card. But it depends on the firmware version that you have installed on your camera….which tells you the correct record time.

Well I do hear you…. last week I was in Houston covering the hurricane “event” for ABC News…..at the hotel a SUV pulled up and it was a cameraman out of Dallas that I have not seen for a while….as he was getting his gear out…he told me that he was working for “Good Morning America” and maybe for “World News Tonight” doing live shots….to by surprise… he pulled out a Sony EX-3…I asked him “your using that camera….he responded…Yes and the network has no problem me using it”….as a owner of a EX-3 ( I was doing sound work)…I was very surprised.
so there is life in some cameras…..

I still have my Sony EX-3….and it is still working today. Also, I have married it to a Atomos Samurai Blade….as it turns out, this is a very good combo….so, I would hang on to it as 4K is here, but there is a lot of “2K” work out there.

May 4, 2017 at 3:59 pm in reply to: Sony Content Browser 2 doesn’t work with new MAC OS 10.12.4 update….UpdateOK guys….I still have some clients that want me to shoot on 35mbps….which I do on the sxs cards….then I have to convert these files to .mov for FCP10….I use Content Browser for this purpose and it has served me well over the years.
So, I am not that familiar with Catalyst Browse….I do have it…
so how do I convert BPAV files to normal .mov?
any help would be nice…as I can’t get the Sony Help Desk in New Jersey to call me back….
Many thanks………..

Hello…
Have you made sure that CH 2 is set to “48v.–mic”….that’s what you need in order to feed power to that channel and to power up a shotgun microphone.
