    the problem seemed to lie with some AE plugins i use in fcp…… i rarely use them so they got the ax…. I did get a message about updating my setting and if i want to continue using these settings… isaid yes, all the new codecs for QT 7 are there……have fun kids.

    I will keep you updated….. I am in the middle of sorting through which plugins keep causing FCP not to launch….. I moved them all to another folder and it opened nicely…now for the sifting…

    my real question is….. are these really overclocked 2’s and 2.5’s…. i mean why come out with a 2.7 and a 2.3 and loose the 2.5 all together. Back to my consipiricy theorist lifestyle….trust noone

    bob maybe …just maybe they read your post from yesterday and did everything you asked. Raid, triple 3’s…. heck they may even through in free ipod.

    Sophie depending on what you meant when you said you deleted the original audio this ashould be an easy fix….

    first make a DUPLICATE sequence!!!!!!!

    the original audio should still be on your drive, the audio is embedded in the same quicktime that your video is. Simply place the playback head at the head of a clip press “x” to mark the clip then “f” to open the match frame in the viewer. now, you should see both the video and audio tracks…simply link up the audio and unlink the video and hit f11…you should replace the tracked audio with the original from tape……

    this all depends on the fact your audio is in the same file as the video…if not…. please provide a little more info..and we will see what we can do for you.. 🙂
