I am running FCP 5.1.4 on a G4 powerbook and on an intel Macbook and I do remember having to buy the 5.1 upgrade.

Thanks for your response.
For your comment about “…transcoded to another codec for editing, preferably the same as your project….”. I have not nailed that down yet, my general feeling is to be in a format consistent for creating STD DVD’s but making the documentary, at least a trailer, accessible online is an idea.Bernie J
