    Just to clarify, it’s not that the cameraman was being un smooth when filming. It seems to be more todo with a cheap camera, recording in progressive, just looks Juddery/staggery.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for your help. I checked and the “ignore ownership” option in the get info window is already ticked.

    Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

    it’s FCPX 10.1.1

    And the Library is on an external Thunderbolt RAID drive.

    Thanks for the advice. So just as a rough guide, and to be consistent with the industry average, would you say about 50% of hourly rate for render & transcode? More/less?

    Hi, deleting the render files seems to have done the trick. Although final cut still crashed during the transfer, the project did appear on the second hard drive after a restart.

    They did slate, but the project is made up of hundreds of short multiple camera takes… It’s a pain in the a** to be honest. I think I’ll edited the multi-cam clips in FCPx, then export master files to use in 7, as required by the other editor.
