You mean in and out points? They are not being regarded when I drag that sequence into a new one. Is that supposed to work?
I did the other way you suggested, good to know that you can have a sequence in the source monitor!

I just have to say, to save ppl time when they are searching for a helpful and easy answer to this (as I just was) that posterize time, setting to 1fps and then speeding the clip up works just fine!

I use FCP7. Have no hardware.
Tried the trial of Red Giant Instant HD yesterday, and I actually thought that compressor did a nicer job. Maybe I was doing it wrong?
I have also heard of avisynth, some real hardcore programming thing. Would this be worth my time learning?

I actually found my solution in this tutorial:

Changed the timecode the xml file.
Your way sounded easier, but I think I tried that once. Maybe I did it wrong.
Anyway, problem solved! yay! 🙂

Correcting the timebase in the xml file.
