I use Simon Says in FCP for transcripts. But it’s not “text based editing” sadly.

1st video gives an error, says it’s not available.
JPG is a compression format, so if it’s a JPG it’s definitely not uncompressed.

They are done on tripods, or by getting on-stage or next to the stage. Also, get a gimbal rig for your camera, you’ll get more steady shots. When I was production manager in television, we’d do weekly concerts at a local venue and use a couple of good PTZ cameras that can zoom a good distance, and remote control them with a video switcher (ATEM Mini Pro ISO).

If you start with compressed video, exporting as uncompressed does zero to improve anything, period.

Titles cause zero image quality loss, period. Unless it’s a title template that has some effect built-in to effect the video under it in some special effect way.
H.264 will give you the best you’ll get out of YT, exporting as ProRes doesn’t do anything to improve anything.
As for special characters in video titles, YT does not support them. I have to reformat titles that have hyphens and such on a daily basis when I’m uploading to YT.

I stopped round-tripping to Resolve or Logic because it’s way too wonky. What you have circled is a company clip that doesn’t seem to have any media in it at all.

48kHz is standard for digital video and TV broadcast. Stick to it. And do not convert to AIFF, waste of time, does you no favors. FCP will easily handle the original m4a files just fine.

I edit 4K video daily and never have need for proxies. Any Mac these days should handled editing 4K easily without the need for proxies.

The quality of your exported audio will depend on the quality you import. Not much you can do to improve it, without being a recording studio engineer. Export as H.264 and you’ll have as good a quality as you’ll get from your audio. Don’t sweat the details. The example you posted has great audio quality, and I’m listening in a recording studio on great monitors.

There’s rumors, but nothing solid, no one knows anything. I had an iMac Pro go bad and got an M1 Pro Max MBP (2021) with a cheap (but surprisingly nice quality) ViewSonic UHD monitor. I have way more power than I had before. I stopped waiting for what I wanted. I had to get what I needed. And I’m really glad I did. Don’t hold out for some pie-in-the-sky iMac that may never come.
