Being on Apple Silicon is a bigger deal than being on Ventura. Simply because many plugins are still not upgraded for it yet, Apple made that difficult. But Ventura, been running it, no FCPX issues at all. It does take it forever to connect to my Apple Magic Trackpad, and there’s a ton of notices about background processes being launched, but overall, I kind of like it.

All original audio must be the same sample rate, and the Project must be set to the same audio sample rate. Frame rate has nothing to do with this, so you know. FCPX will try to… never mind… I’ll just say that for now. Verify audio sample rates of everything.

MotionVFX has some templates that do something similar. There’s Studio Artist by John Dalton (one of the founding father’s of FCP, so to speak). Or just learn how to do this manually yourself with something like Pixelmator Pro. I’m sure there are tutorials on YouTube. But that same exact style? Nope, don’t know anything pre-built to do that specifically.

Agreed, mixing camera makes and models on a shoot it not a great idea.
Without seeing color scopes, I can’t really say anything one way or the other. Trust your eye to a degree, but ALWAYS trust the scopes!

I can not see any images, either.
Reset those parameters on that clip completely. Then recreate. Does it still do this?

There’s no “correct way” in FCPX. If all you need are Favorites, that works fine, Paul. But Keywords work very differently, and the OP was asking about keywords.

Works fine for me, I even updated to Ventura and it still works there, too. It’s not macOS, there’s something askew on your Mac. Do you have Chrome installed?

Turn on the Skimmer (S) and turn off Audio Skimming after that (Shift-S). Then you can click and drag a range in a clip, Cmd-K (opens Keyword Editor), add a keyword. Or drag and drop the selected range onto an existing keyword collection. Very simple, very fast.
