FYI, do the manual relink where it shows you all the files. Select all, and when you go looking for them, just select the Library they’re already in, FCPX will recognize the insides of an FCPX Library bundle.

Pro Res won’t add anything, so whatever the native bit rate is of your footage, that’s what is going to be exported, that same bit rate. You need to make a custom preset in Compressor with the specs you need, then in FCPX, add it as an export preset. That will convert the bit rate to whatever Filmhub requires.

Or just Export To Compressor and customize what you need if it’s a one-off export.

You can have multiple Libraries open at once and edit clips from one into the other. If they’re on the same drive, FCPX won’t duplicate them, but make dummy files that “point” to the original. If on separate drive, it’s copy a duplicate over. Either way, you are using those clips from the small Project directly into your large Library’s timeline, and it’s all good after that.

Power cuts, I assume you mean the power goes out unexpectedly and your system shuts down improperly. That could corrupt the Library’s database. A small, cheap UPS battery backup would help a lot.

First, in the Viewer menu, verify you are set to use Original/Optimized Media and not Proxy Media. I’m going to guess you’re set to Proxy media there, IF the Library is not corrupted from the power outs.

If it is the power outs, go to your FCPX backups, open some of those, see if they’re still in tact.

Dragging back into the Browser, no, that’s not the way to do it, won’t work, as you’ve seen.

When you go to Relink, you can chose for FCPX to show you unlinked media, or select it to show you all media, set it to all, do you see a list of anything?

Where exactly are you seeing the FPS data?

If you drop them into a timeline, FCP automatically adjusts the FPS to playback at normal speed. You need to change the Rate Conform for it to play back as show in slow motion.

Keyword collections would be faster than renaming the clips. When importing, have that collection highlighted, and they’ll import directly into that collection. If you right-click the Browser headings (in List mode) and select to show Video Frame Rate, you can then sort them by FPS. Select all of those clips at once, drag them into the collection. Too bad Smart collections don’t have a Video Frame Rate option.

Where are you seeing that FPS? In the Browser column?

You could just have all those libraries open at once.

“Copy Projects To Library” is what you’d use. Once done, verify, delete the original.

But no, no merge libraries function, which would be nice to have.

Smart collections rely on metadata. What metadata is connected to your slo-mo clips? Are these filmed at faster frame rates in the camera? Cause then you could specify Frame Rate for the smart collection. Are you referring to clips slowed down in the Timeline? No, that’s specific to the Timeline, no metadata gets fed back to the Browser. Or you could create a Keyword collection and import all slow motion clips directly into it. But there has to be some data/metadata that FCPX will recognize to create a Smart collection with. What would that be for your clips?

First, be sure you haven’t applied any effects or anything, just straight, raw edits.

What have you tried so far that’s not working?

From what I see, there may be a problem that BRAW Toolbox wants to import clips from scratch. The FCPCML process may not be able to include that. I’m checking with someone I know who’s very familiar with all of this, but I’m not sure BRAW Toolbox supports import via FCPXML.

That said, Synk-n-Lynk is supposed to support the BRAW Toolkit.

But if you’re in a professional broadcast of film environment, it’s not that easy, you rely on others and have to share projects. FCPX is the worst at that. And OMF and AAF are still widely used in the industry. Just saying.
