Has there been any word from AJA directly ? I’m in the process of installing a new twenty seat SAN and I don’t really have a choice of operating systems at this point.

[gary adcock] “I find a discussion of 4K in a thread about HDV encoding well, humorous,”

Yet not as humorous as the plan to use full 1080p as proxy material!

You can install the Kona right away (if you want). Just don’t install the Kona software until after you ‘ve installed Final Cut Studio.

Many of my customers are now using them as transcoder boxes for their Kona 2/3 cards.

January 6, 2007 at 1:58 am in reply to: this has to be a mistake (Panasonic pricing)

The Panasonic TH50 series have always been my favorite plasma display, but keep in mind the reason there are so many of them being used in trade shows and other public forums also has to do with Panasonic’s liberal marketing policy. They seed lots of these displays to “partners” for little or no money so we patrons will see and fall in love with them. That being said, I personally prefer the Westinghouse LVM series over ANY plasma display. But that’s just me !
