Indeed I’m aware of the issue. Thanks for the link.

That Yellow + sign means you have color management turned on. Which may explain why you are getting gamma shifts when you import into FCP. What color space are you using?

Are you seeing these issues during RAM previews? What kind of video card are you using to send the signal to your monitor?

I’m using a Decklink card for previews and text in RAM previews looks horrible. I import the same footage into FCP and the problem is gone during playback. Is this a Decklink limitation? Or an AE setting?

Guess my shiny new FCP suite will have to wait in the box longer then. I’m choosing stability over headaches. I’m still running 10.3.7 after GPU freezing for months with 10.3.4 or whatever that beast was. Why because 10.3.7 is solid on both my machines.

i’ve seen this before. I believe it’s Quicktime problem.

We ran into the problem when using the Blackmagic codec. In QT Player the movie looked RGB.
And in final cut and motion it looked like 601.

Ha! Thanks for the tip. It’s been driving me batty.

It would be nice if they disabled that. I don’t see the point.
