So Adobe’s claim to work natively with Sony RAW in Premiere is not true?

What’s the point of direct link with Speedgrade if you can’t use the RAW for grading? The entire point of shooting RAW is for grading.

Can you at least re-link to the RAW in Speedgrade?

Awesome, thank you all for the help.

I’ve ordered an Aja T-Tap which will solve both the 4k-to-HD issue in Premiere and enable external monitoring in Speedgrade (which my BM i/o device wouldn’t do at all in SG).

The Decklink Ultrastudio will not downconvert 4k to 1080 according to this previous thread:

Surprising and disappointing for what is marketed as a cutting edge modern 4k workflow tool.

4k to 1080 conversion seems like such a basic and essential thing in todays environment. Any other thoughts on how to do this via TB?

Changing the Fields option in Sequence Settings to “No Fields (Progressive Scan)” fixed it.

That’s the problem — the timeline (which is reflected in the “Program Monitor”) does not play on the external monitor. Only the Source Monitor’s contents play on the external monitor.

How do I switch it or open up the Program Monitor for viewing on the external monitor in Premiere CC?

It happens by default tin Premiere CS6. “Enable Transmit” is already turned on in the Program Monitor menu.

The video files were imported into Avid as MXF (converted from the raw files in Redcine X).
