When I import a project sequence via AAF into Resolve, clips in the timeline are being arbitrarily swapped with other unrelated clips. This is affecting about 20% o the clips int he sequence.

In some cases the clips being incorrectly swapped-in are coming from different shoot days, and different folders in Resolve’s Media Pool, and in other cases coming from the same shoot day and Media Pool folder as the clip that should be in the sequence. Many of the clips being incorrectly swapped-in are not even in the cut (they’re unused takes from the shoot).

It’s a single track import. All filenames are unique, no duplicate names.

Working with Resolve 9.1.1 on Mac OSX 10.7.5. Exporting AAF from Avid Symphony 6.5.

I’m really stuck, any advice on what could possibly be causing this?

    Thank you!

Does your video files are imported into AVID as MXF video files or are they linked by AMA?

The video files were imported into Avid as MXF (converted from the raw files in Redcine X).

Are you trying to relink to raw files into davinci or not? If you don’t need to, try consolidate your sequence onto a new disk, use these new files for your aaf and send to davinci.

Yes, need to re-link to the original raw files for the grade.
