    Yes it is…so on that note I copy and pasted all the Quicktime components from the Mac’s Library at work (which included some AVID components), but still this doesn’t work…

    I’m using FCP 6.0.5 (part of Studio 2 bundle). Have uninstalled and deleted Calibrated (didn’t think it was doing much anyway).
    I know that IMX PAL etc is an option that you can select in Easy Setup, but it doesn’t change anything – still get the same error message when trying to play the imported file.

    Thought so. I’m wanting to be able to transfer projects I started on Avid (including bins/logs/sequences) into Final Cut to continue working on, and then be able to transfer the project back to Avid again for output.

    I see Automatic Duck have software to purchase that can do this, but I was trying to avoid major costs 🙂
