Okay, I am having the same problem- captured a whole bunch on a tape sans audio, whoops. I can’t right-click in the track column, I get a greyed-out “No Shortcuts” window.
I am on FCP 7.0.3 and capturing through Aja Kona v. 8.1.2.
I’m using OS version 10.6.8. Suggestions?

Hmm. Well I figured out the problem just using the ‘same as source’ codec in Avid. Oddly enough it worked, lower field. I always have used lower field but have been working with the old dust-buster Media100. I wonder why the animation codec came out so funky as opposed to avid’s.

Hmm. No luck. The camera is behaving as though the firewire port is busted, although the computer is clearly responding when I turn the Minidv cam on and off. I am very cautious when I plug in anything firewire, so it doesn’t seem to make sense. I rarely use a device such as a camcorder so I can’t see that I overused or burnt it out. Any other suggestions??

Aha! That could be the answer. It would explain a couple of other strange things that the system’s been doing. Thanks!
