  • Accidentally logged my clips as AUDIO only – trying to batch capture…

Posted by Damon Hoydysh on July 8, 2005 at 5:14 pm

Is there an easy way to switch my clip from an audio, to vido and audio. I accidentally had my capture settings to audio only. When I try and switch the track settings in the TRACK column from 2A to 1V, 2A – it doesn’t allow me.

How can you switch a logged audio clip to audio/video before batch capturing?

    Thanks.

In your browser window of FCP, highlight all the clips you want to change. Then scroll over to the “Tracks” column, where it probably says “2A” or “1A”. Control + click (or right click) directly on this figure (not the heading, but on one of the rows of your highlighted clips). You can choose “1V, 2A” or as desired.

    That should fix it.

Okay, I am having the same problem- captured a whole bunch on a tape sans audio, whoops. I can’t right-click in the track column, I get a greyed-out “No Shortcuts” window.

I am on FCP 7.0.3 and capturing through Aja Kona v. 8.1.2.

I’m using OS version 10.6.8. Suggestions?
