You can use Compressor to do this.
You can either set a default setting and location and then drag all of your rushes into Compressor, or you can make a droplet and drag the files onto that in the finder.
Either way, they’ll all be encoded to the same place with he same settings.
You’ll want to modify the preset to change the speed from 30fps to 29.97 fps. Compressor can do this frame for frame if you choose the proper option in the “Frames” tab.
Refer to the PDF manual in Compressor’s Help menu for more details.

Well, as long as you’re respectful! Except that we don’t disagree. Perhaps I was just being too pithy?
I meant that SP and DV should be reused less, not that they were less prone to problems from reuse.

digiBeta tapes can be reused several times with no adverse effect. Beta SP and miniDV, less so. Just make sure that you do a little more QA after you lay off to the reused tape.

BTW, I have an Areca 1120 card that I’m very happy with. For a Mac Pro, you’d look at their 1600 series cards.

Someone posted in the last week or 2 about their bad experience with that Highpoint card. Search the COW for “rocketraid” and “Highpoint”.
My own experience with an earlier HP card was bad enough that I’d never look at their products again.

That’s really not a sound effect. That’s a music cue. A few music collections have these small kinds of musical stings and hits for different uses, and some SFX collections have them as well.

I’ve found that there can be gamma shifting and an elevated pedestal with the 8 bit DNxHD codecs, but the 10 bit seems to work perfectly.

I don’t see a problem using Cinema Tools to conform the 23.98 to 24. You can get away with that for the 25, as well.

I like Conduit. It’s actually a fairly good compositing system.
My personal preference, though is to pull my keys using either Keylight or Primatte in Shake. You can still get Shake, but it’s getting hard to find.
