You don’t have an eSATA card, you have a SAS card. And yes, there are faster ones to be had. The Atto R380 and Areca ARC-16xx series cards. You may need new cables, but you can use the same external enclosure with either of these cards.
It’s my experience that High Point makes garbage.

FWIW, the Kona 2 offers this SD-SD cross convert option, but doesn’t do the 720-1080. And for anyone with an aging PCI-X Mac, they’re often found on eBay for $400-500.

Yeah, NPR’s picture kept freezing, but the audio played on (I wonder if that says something about TV on the radio on the computer?). I heard, but didn’t really see the oath of office for Obama, but Biden was flawless.

High school senior or college senior?
There are computer animation programs at several colleges in NYC and in the NE in general. NYU and SVA both have such programs.
Digital compositing may be taught as part of a bigger film making or post production program, but I don’t think it would be available as a major.
Also, there are a few VFX houses in the NYC area, talk to them about internships. That’s really the best way to learn the business.

Actually, it still does make a difference. There are a lot of things that you wouldn’t catch without a video monitor until you output.

Which version of STP? Only STP 3.x can open OMF files.
