Is Xprove not a FTP site , or can producers play the file from the site? I’m looking for a solution that allows me to play the show from our system and stream it over the internet for the producer?
    Thanks for this

    Dear John,
Thank you for this information. We have not yet made the change to FCP6 and Pro Res. What would our options be then?
    Sincerely,

    Dear Shane,
Thanks for this. We have followed the using slug to figure out the time approach. That being said the fact that there is not an explanation for the black is heartening. Also when you do time out the accurate clock based on a NDF timeline, does this affect the act breaks for the show?
    Thanks for this.

    Hello All
I did not explain myself clearly, While the counting of the frames changes, there should not be a reduction in the video frames. When we cut and paste the sequence from a 59.94 editing timebase and put it in a DF 59.94 sequence this should not as per my understanding get rid of Video Frames. If a shot has 60 frames in a NDF timeline it will have 60 frames in a DF timeline as well. However we are noticing that it reduces the actual video frames, and introduces black frames of an arbitrary duration.
Thank you for your responses thus far. I look forward to hearing from you.
    Sincerely,

    Dear Barry,
Thank you. I figured. For some reason all the folders made it across in the copy except for the Video and Proxy folder. I have the audio files. Is there a way to import just the audio so we know what we are missing.
    Sincerely,
    Arjun

August 22, 2007 at 11:55 am in reply to: Re: Variable frame rates in same timeline

    Dear Jeremy,
Thank you for replying to my post. We are considering 24p. The reason for SD was that we might not have an FCP 6 System to work with. However it woul dbe great if you have suggestions for the following scenarios.
We will be using the Arri D20 Camera to record to HDCAM SR (24p 4:4:4 Line HD Mode) and as the B camera the Varicam. We are trying to get FCP 6 so that we can edit the show using the PRo res 422 codec.
We were thinking 29.97 in offline because we will have to deliver a 59.94 master. However if we shoot 24p we will try and deliver in 24p.
That said we will offline in 23.976.
The decision about shooting in 24p is TBD however i do know (Please correct me if i’m wrong) that if we are not delivering the master in 24p then dealing with the variable frame rates gets tricky.
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Sincerely,
    Arjun
