  • Wow it worked!

I’m fraustrated that this is the only method to do it – bcause its very long and cumbersome

For each import file I create and there alot of them – I need to export two files
One WIth chapters and not compressed.
the other copressed to the format I need.
that open both of them and copy the chapter data and create a third file
    OMG

I would expected more from Apple.
I’m new to FCP but I get very fraustrated from bunch of simple things that should be there but there isnt!

Such as Maintaining Audio pitch when changing video speeds…
I had this in Premiere for years!!!
Or the simple task of searching Markers! no way to do it! just if I creat subclips which is not what I need!

    🙁

sorry – just blowing off steam…

This is my first project on FCP – Migrated from Premiere CS4

    Wow thats a major bummer…

I have 20 hours of HD footage.

Spread over many folders – and many many clips.

inside of them I Marked more than hundred markers.
Because I thought it will be very simple to search it up!

I dont want to go all over the markers and make them as subclips it will take hours – and will create clips that I don’t want… just adds many Items in the projects…

I can’t believe such a simple feature is missing! and the only markers that are searchable are markers which are shown and collapsed.. how stupid is that – I already see them – I want to search the ones that are hiding inside of folders and clips!!!

How can I find all the quetes and notes I made to miself!?

  • First of all thanks!
OK – I don’t have access to the computer right now (Im shooting B-rolls)

Lets see if I got this right.

    – First thing is to capture with settings that match HDV 1080i
    – export the captured clip into Compressor.
    – convert into DVCPRO-HD 720 24P file
    – Import the file back to the project – thats it?

can you please refer to my first questions in the openning post?

    3. Will the image look OK?
    (I’m converting from 1080i 30 to 720P 24)
    Interlaced to progressive

    Thanks again!!
