    I am guessing you don’t have CS3? But if you do have CS3, you could just do this:

    Import file (ctrl-i), as soon as you open the .psd file in After Effects, you should get a small dialoug window up. There you can select som import options for that file. If you select Composition as import kind, you will get the .psd file as a new composition and a folder with all the layers, all present in your project window. If you dont get the dialoug window up, just select composition from main import window, down on the left side.

    If you have an older After Effects, perhaps you could try a mainfolder all of the layer and folder in your .psd file before importing. (Don’t know about this tho)

    That should be 500MB per Min. (1440x1080_25fps) instead of per 30 sec. 🙂

    Also, i would use After Effects to composite induvidual scenes, then put the scenes togehter in Premier Pro for export, i guess this is the best way aswell?
