Thanks Nick, no, I definitely have CS1 and CS2 as full suites. So it seems I should be able to take the cheaper upgrade path. Cheers, that’s good news.

    Hi Adolfo

You’re saying that there should be definitely an upgrade path from my CS2 to the Production Premium bundle? Does it matter that my CS2 was itself an upgrade from a full Photoshop version?

    Cheers

Thanks, MacBreak was the one. I had found the Studio1 stuff but it was the video I wanted.

WOW. Thanks for this… hold it… just wiping the drool from my chin. Right.

I am also interested in the point Steve Forde made about render bottlenecks in very fast machines. Is there any point in an 8-core mac without a RAID? And is the render speed increase reflected in all render times, including ‘design render’ times; ie. not the final render but the moment-to-moment design stuff?

  • Hi Van

Thanks for replying. It will be about 30/50 gigs of material and unfortunately the client is flying out of London late Thursday and wants to take the files with him. Even though it’s their fault that they are in this position I don’t think they will go for paying to get the files from Coventry to London. Also, because of the large amount of data, ftp isn’t an option.

I have a valid beta SN from Adobe, but I can’t even get as far as installing the app.

    Steve

Pardon my stupidity (sometimes it takes words of one syllable to get through) – are you saying that the 8/quad-core machines, along with Nucleo Pro, should only be considered with a RAID set-up? If so; how big a RAID? And is it RAID-0? I am most interested in a speed-up of my previewing times.

    Cheers
