Got the trial version the day before yesterday. Most changes seems rather cosmetic, but there is a noticeable increase in speed. This is something users always wanted. I would say that you can now render a video clip (no matter the format) in half the time. Timeline responsiveness got also better. Quite impressive. I did not use Vegas 15 extensively, only on very short videos. So, I cannot say much about stability right now. It did not crash yet thou. My desktop computer is a i7 (4790 processor), 16gb, nvideo gtx 960 (4gb).

October 10, 2016 at 10:57 pm in reply to: Can you open a Vegas 14 project in Vegas 13?Forgot to tell that there is one annoying thing about Vegas 14 when using my Canon 60D. The rendered mp4, Full HD file looks as it it is interlaced, although correctly set to render in progressive mode. For me this is not critical because I seldom use the Canon 60D, and did not notice any problem regarding the files from the Lumix GH4 and the FZ1000 (4k and Full HD). In any case, I hope Magix will correct this problem.

October 10, 2016 at 10:46 pm in reply to: Can you open a Vegas 14 project in Vegas 13?I am quite please with Vegas Pro 14. Rendering is on the slower side, as in previous versions, but everything else works perfectly fine on my computer. I acquired a licence for the Suite version.

October 1, 2016 at 3:52 pm in reply to: Overall feelings on MVP 14, please give me yoursGood to know it, Xavier. Well, at least, no such interlaced problem when using 4k material from my other camera, a GH4. Probably 1080p files from the GH4 will also work fine.

October 1, 2016 at 3:38 pm in reply to: Video quality rendering issue with MP4s and HEVCThank you, guys! Since Xavier experienced the same problem, this is something Magix should take care of as quick as possible. The final image does not look nice at all, and it represents a downgrade from VP 13 (at least in some cases). Meanwhile, tried some files recorded with a GH4 (4k material). No problem detected.

It is not a huge departure from VP13, but it adds some nice functionalities. However, I just noticed that VP14 produces interlaced-like results when I render a project with images captured with my Canon 60D. I have tried everything but interlaced-like lines keep on showing up. The same files in VP13 produce pristine results.

September 25, 2016 at 2:49 pm in reply to: Is VP14 support H.265/HEVC importing? And MKV files? Thanks, John! It is indeed a problem of container, as you said. Just downloaded a sample file (from a NX1; mp4) and it works. So, batch stabilized files created with the standalone Mercalli v4 (mov), to spare time and space, have no chance (at least not for now). But this limitation is not critical.

September 24, 2016 at 11:40 pm in reply to: OK. The race to upgrade to 14 begins. What’s everyone’s impressions?MVP 14 seems more stable and faster (4k files) than SVP 13. I am using the trial version. The down side is that I cannot import mkv or mov H.265 files. I can export in this format thou.
