Okay, so that is the workaround. Thank you. But this can’t be the way it will operate from now on. Please tell me that you are going to address this and fix it so it works properly.
There’s no way that I wanna go through that every time I am going to record VO. It won’t look professional to my clients.

I have deck control through Final Cut Pro. The deck I am using is a beta UVW 1800.

I installed it. Shut that fan up good! Just blows at a continuous slow speed and the noise is acceptable. Deck control works. And just loaded some 8 bit Component video with audio flawlessly. External video is working.
Looks like this one is a keeper.

You talking about the Multibridge Extreme? If so, it is loud and the room does get hotter now (don’t know if it’s due to that or the recent L.A. weather). Either way, I had read somewhere here that an update was coming soon to handle the fan better.
For me, it can’t come soon enough!

Thank God! That fan is loud right now.
Also, I had asked about the cables and the answer was no. This is as long as they can be right now (this came via Blackmagic support in the USA).

Ruslan, hang in there! I broke down and made the call to Melbourne and got my answer (system pref – need to switch from SDI to RYBYGY + XLR AUDIO). Will see if it works tomorrow.
By the way, told them about us stray cows over here waiting for info, so hopefully you’ll hear from them soon!!!

Thanks, Dmitry, but I am working with the Multibridge Extreme. The drivers you mentioned seem to be for Decklink. Doesn’t look like any other Multibridge Extreme options on their website.

Only have the inputs to Multibridge Extreme connected. No outputs right now. Thanks, though.
