I am a hobbyist and I will look at the help files more closely. About compressing classical music – I have used audition to normalize (and this may not be compression as you speak of it) a lot of my classical music and I hear sounds that were not so obvious on my original cds. Of course I would never throw the originals away.

The symptoms I describe, is it effected by adjusting the attack or release parameters. The dynamic processor has an attack and release for both the input as well as output levels. The preset, ‘Classical Knee’, has a lookahead time set to 3ms rather than 15ms which is the usual. Is 3 ms more in sync with classical?
I know, I will eventually get to the Hard Limit Processing, but humor me with this one just once.

I think you may have misread my message. I am sorry. What I meant to say is that the Normalization filter is improving the sound compared to the original CDs. And would like to know why this is?

Yes, thanks. Fortunately I am doing animation and am not shooting film to mix with it. Just Aftereffects, photoshop and illustrator source. I chose Premiere Pro since I will need a multitrack video editor. But this should help. Thanks.

The Quicktime is Animation and I am giving it the no compression option. The AVI is the standard codec that comes with After Effects, I would think the DVI version. Are you saying that the Quicktime codec clip would be better for Premiere Pro and then to DVD than the AVI but just doesn’t play very well on the Quicktime Player?

Thanks. I am finding that there is plenty functionality available in AE7 with 2D models (as long as I watch my camera angles). So for now I will not rush into 3D but keep the scope on AE7.
