So if I want to apply effects to my clips in Premiere then you’re saying I should apply them first to my original clip and then use the dynamic link to export to Encore? Will this degrade the effects?

This is a know problem with Windows 7. I hope this is your operating system or something else is happening. Windows 7 installs a backleveled Roxio module. To get the facts go to https://www.adobe.com and in Encore support do a search on ‘Blu Ray + Windows 7’. A document will come up for your problem and give a link to do the module upgrade.

When I try using VBR pass 2 the two mp4 downloads I use take over 24 hours to render using the media Encoder. Then in Encore the error appears when it tries to render again. Can someone explain why this error occurs, what it means. Is it a bug of some sort?

Thanks. Can I do this with Encore. Encore has no pause functionality once start to build a disk, will it effectively pause if I stop the rendering, reboot and continue in the application?

Technical difficulties aside. Jeff your tutorial focuses on transcoding mp4 to SD. For me that would be mp4 to HD, correct? Or mp4 to SD and then SD to HD. Any packeage video settings that might help mp4 to HD: 2 VBR passes?, M frames and N frames settings.

    Thanks

When premiere cs4 interfaces with the media encoder it always comes into the media encoder with bogus source library for my movies. It is trying to use Documents and Settings, etc.. Premiere clearly understands that my input files are on an H drive in a folder. Am I missing a setting here. I can use the media encoder directly.

Currently, CS4. I have been using Encore, non-professionally, since CS3.

Aha. It seems that you are better off without the seventh line. If the anchor point for the floor layer is set at the top of the floor and the anchor point for the ball is set at the bottom of the ball, the ball will always bounce from the floor, independent of where the floor is in the comp. The seventh line enforces the floor being placed halfway up the comp. Perhaps this was for presentation.

Hmmm. This javascript is not as forgiving as the other. Seems my habits doing javascript inside web applications are doing me in with AE3. Thanks again, I will use semi-colons. And thanks for responding so quickly.
