Once you unzip it, simply double-clicking the updater will walk you through the installation process. It doesn’t matter where the installer is.

    Hi,
Boris Red 3.0.2 does not support Tiger. As you discovered, the plug-in will not show up in the Effects Palette. However, Red 3.0.4 does support Tiger and is available as a free download (well free for all Red 3.x users) at https://www.borisfx.com/register/download/#red.
    thanks,

You need to have Red 3.0 installed. Otherwise, it’s a paid upgrade.
    thanks.

You can simply speak with sales; any of them should be able to handle it. But unfortunately, our email and phones are still down at the moment. Service on most of our street appears to still be out.

February 25, 2006 at 9:58 pm in reply to: Anne Renehan-what’s your email address?

Sorry, both phone and internet were down at Boris on Friday and they appear to still be down. Sigh, plus it’s snowing in Boston. My email is anner@borisfx.com, but anyone needing a serial number should use the one that Dirk posted.

Alas, both phone and internet are down at Boris, or at least they were on Friday when I left. We have someone looking at the problem and will hopefully be up ASAP.

February 23, 2006 at 3:18 pm in reply to: Boris Blue Public Beta Now Available

You should get the serial number within minutes of downloading. If you still haven’t received it, my apologies. Email me offlist and I’ll send you one.

As for ATI, we may add more cards for the release which is scheduled around NAB. However, it is doubtful that ATI will be supported in Version 1.0.

As for Red, we will show Version 4.0 at NAB 2006; Red is about to begin it’s beta cycle. We will also show it at our User Group on Sunday. I’ve pasted details below.

    Thanks,
    Anne

February 22, 2006 at 4:05 pm in reply to: Media 100 i V8.2.3 has been released

As Floh wrote, Media 100i version 8.2.3 is now available as a free download for existing version 8.2.2 users. You can download it from http://www.support.media100.com. This new version adds new OS and software compatibility.

    Version 8.2.2 Highlights

-Macintosh OS X Tiger and Apple Quicktime version 7.0 compatibility have been added.
-Media 100i is now compatible with Media 100 HD and Media 100 sw. This allows you to move media, timelines and bins between systems.
-You can now export your timeline to the newly released Adobe After Effects version 7.0.
-Macintosh G5 systems with an expansion chassis can now digitize high data rates. (This fix only applies to systems running Tiger).
-Export timeline audio and video to an Apple iPod.

    Thanks,
    Anne
