Use track motion at the track level and keyframe the panning over the entire track.

I use color curves. You manually manipulated the points in color curves to bring up whatever section tones you want. On my camcorder I’d use it to increase the contrast, which wasn’t very high out of the camera. So I’d bring up the better lit parts of the shot and brought down the darker parts.

On DSLR footage I don’t need it quite as much, and I try to keep the use of color curves minimal because if I even have to use them, it usually means something already wasn’t ideal during shooting, and there are blown out highlights with dark parts of the video that lack clarity.

Try it out and you’ll see what it does.

You can pretty much do this all with the Color Corrector plugin as well as Color Curves. Look for tutorials on both of those. I use color curves on just about everything I do.

There probably is. What exactly do you mean by soft light? Fill light? Diffusion?

I think Audacity could convert wav files to just about anything, and it’s free.

I’ll look into that, John. I’ll probably end up getting it.

I already did it manually. Only took fifteen minutes or so, but this seems like a no brainer as far as something Vegas should let you automate.

It’s not the time stretch I want to change. I’ve already done that on all the clips. It’s the event length itself that I want to change on all my clips, because now that I’ve made them all play in slow motion, the event sizes on each of them don’t play the full shots that I took.

I only use 1 TB hard drives because I shoot a lot. I buy them refurbished, so they’re a little cheap, and use them in external enclosures, one with a sata cable, the other with USB 3.0 for backing everything up.
