Anyway, I find it disturbing ???? setting an in-point beforehand. Honesty I cannot understand why a mighty program as Premiere CC did not program a function like bringing-back-the-playhead-to-the-start-position…

Uh, Simon, and one more question directly following this one: I want to make this feature a very prominent personalized shortcut on my keyboard by defining a new shortcut. So, instead of “Shift +K” I would prefer a doubleclick-on-the-spacebar. Is it possible to determine DOUBLECLICKS as a shortcut?

Dear Simon,
Thank you very much for the Shift+K hint — that workes well and I find it a great feature! Is there a “button” in Premiere for that as well (for clicking it with the mouse?)

Dear Yair,
that sounds great with the “Shift+i” to “bring playhead back to the in point“. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work for me. When doing so, the playhead always jumps back to the sequence’s beginning.

thanks for your relply.
It truly works with pressing the shift bar — however, this means some extra effort of going down to place the audio on the other track.
Anyway, is there now setting to turn overwriting generally off??? I do not understand this feature. Who wants to overwrite other audio tracks when draging one audio/video to another track??

Dear Jon, could you help me with the track settings and placement? I tried it and it didn’t work/change the problem. But maybe I didn’t completely understand what you meant!

Dear Jon, dear Peter,
thank you very much for your answers. I watched the tutorail video. And I think it is indeed the point for copy and pasting (via Strg+c/+v). However, it does not work for me when dragging the combined video&aufio-tracks around by grabbing it with the mouse button. The video track goes, as wished, to the upper track. But the audio track still stubbornly remains in it’s track — and reasonably overwrites the other track.
Please try to help me with that specific problem!

thanks for the answers and the discussion.
I however can not afford the new After Affects that’s why I have to use my old one (furthermore I have to finish this video very urgently, so there is no more time for learning new programs ;-(

It’s just that I only have AFX 6.0 (2003) which apparently does not yet offer this CC Kaleida-filter…? Or can I download them for this old version of After Effects somewhere (I googled it but couldn’t find it)?
