Hi chaps – thanks for reply

the “Internet HD 720p” template is under MainConcept AVC/AAC in my vegas 11

Bit rates. I tried Max 3,000,000 and Av 2,100,000 and thought it was a but muddy
Max 8,000,000 and Av 6,000,000 and it looked better but file size was 3 times original.

As I say Max bps 16,000,000 and Av 8,000,000 gave acceptable quality but file size 4 time input.

MediaInfo gave the following – but its a bit much for me – I really don’t know where to start

Thanks to you all – I have a better understanding of the timeline and events now. Its not as simple as I thought. I had originally tried to follow (using my own clips) 2 tutorials – https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/controlling_velocity_in_vegas_pro and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGqUcZJdero which I now think are over simplifying things (or I have misread them). Can you recommend a good site(s) for tutorials in Sony Vegas pro 11.

In the words of Bill and Ted (or was it Abe) – Most Excellent.

Can I just ask – (and I may not understand the answer) but – are these x,y co-ordinates for the text? – Is it a text box that is created? And are you then specifying that the text should start at X=2.42 Y=0.13 (is that the first character of the text?) and end at x=-1.42 Y=0.13. If so what are the X and Y measured against – the bottom left of the screen?

Sorry – this thread is nearest I have to my problem. – Can you PLEASE tell me (Vegas 11). I have selected media generator Text Scroll left.
I select 12 point then paste in this text “This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. Farewell, my blessing season this in thee”
Can you tell me what steps I should take to get this scrolling ticket tape fashion along the bottom of the screen?
What do you mean stretch it?
Maybe I’ll start a new thread if I don’t get a reply on this.
