BCC/FEC are indeed useful but only a fraction of the tools available for both AFX and FCP – Magic Bullet, The Foundry, Pluraleyes, Noise Industries, CoreMelt etc,etc.
Thanks Floh, so you did the first edit in M100 and then used AE for the zooms? I don’t know what the editing tools are like in iShowU but they won’t be as good as M100!
Must have been a huge Animation codec file – have you tried the Sheer codec? seems to give the same ‘uncompressed’ quality but half the size – I’ve not found any problems with it.
I’m thinking of the HPX 300 as well, seems like a lot of camera for the money with a great codec. RED Scarlet is also a possibility but that’s another story…
It would be great if M100 supported AVC INTRA at some point – it seems to be getting good press and Panasonic cameras are getting better all the time. As for XDCAM or EX: nice camera choice but I’m not keen on mpeg2 and all the transcoding so I might consider one of those new-fangled AJA Ki PRO things and shoot ProRes.
